My work is not my own; resulting from no great effort on my part. Objects reveal themselves to me via my subconscious. They arrive suddenly, unbidden and fully formed. Each piece is a network of symbols. I am left to marvel at their strangeness for they are not mute, together they create a language I do not speak.

Exposure to objects has an effect on the viewer which is increased over time and is formative in nature. This effect is literal in the way that a papoose flattens a baby’s head and subtle in the way that a radio wave ultimately reforms the shape of a speaker cone from a great distance, or how sitting in a meadow is calming. My work is composed of archetypes against which I can reform my soul.

New Symbolism does not seek to codify vocabulary already extant. The focus instead is placed on the idiosyncratic; and on new permutations of the logos whose birthplace is in the depths of the pool of the collective unconscious.
